Gateway
Fact Sheet describes itself as an entity created to manage and operate
the joint collaboration between NC A&T and UNC-G. The question
becomes: What collaboration? UNC-G has contributed no original campus
land or facilities to the Gateway Joint Millennial Campus (
Gateway Research Park the NCAT/UNCG
"Joint" Millennium Campus, a 75-acre parcel of land from the NC A&T
State University Farm and 75-arce and nine buildings that was formerly
the Central School for the Deaf in Greensboro, NC., is now part of UNCG
main campus)
Furthermore, UNC-G’s Request for Authorization to Plan a PhD program in
Pharmacy (March 2010) called for locating the program either on campus
or in downtown Greensboro-not at Gateway . Gateway now advertises it
manages intellectual property of the cutting edge, scientific
study-driven ongoing and continually changing research programs at NC
A&T with UNC-G financing. The BOG authorized M.S. and Ph.D. degrees
in Nanoscience at UNC-G while NC A&T is relegated to teaching the
Nanoscience, while UNC-G hands out the Nanoscience M.S. and PhD degrees
with North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University name,
seal and signature on them - No Pay. |
