The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering maybe a Red Flag indicating for National security reasons a law requiring  background vetting for non-government research affiliations and business partners of  NC A&T and others universities and colleges  involved in Federal research. The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) a collaborative
effort- managed by Gateway University Research Park, Inc- between North Carolina A&T (A&T) and the University of North Carolina at  Greensboro (UNC-G) where the universities proposed to house Master and PhD programs in Nanoengineering offered by NC A&T  and Nanoscience offered by UNC-G.    Gateway University Research Park fact sheet indicated access to more than startup programs  of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering with the statement " Other areas of cutting-edge scientific study--driven by the ongoing and  continually changing research programs at A&T with UNCG Financing" , http://www.gatewayurp.com/fact.html page 3.   Press  releases from Gateway and media coverage allude that Gateway intend to mix students and private business which potentially could  create a security threat as private business access an environment benefiting from research conducted by A&T -one of five  Universities Named an Engineering Research Center by the National Science Foundation- and other universities conducting Research  vital to our Country’s competitiveness.   In a world where a full body scan maybe required to board an air plane prudence
dictates we secure our computer systems and research facilities.
